The French Lolita felt the pressure after her great 2008 season and failed to defend the points, dropping to the limit of Top-50.

39- Agnes Szavay (#39, HUN)
Szavay had 8 consecutive defeats between the end of 2008 and the beggining of 2009, but she secured a place in Top-40 thanks to her good results on clay, including the title in home tournament at Budapest.

38- Jie Zheng (#35, CHN)
Irregular season for the cute Chinese, who peaked at #15 in May setting a Chinese record, but dropped out of Top-30 after being unable to defend points of her semifinalist place at Wimbledon 2008.

37- Ioana Raluca Olaru (#72, ROM)
After her breakthrough in 2007, in 2008 she dropped out of Top-100. But 2009 was again a good year for the Romanian who reached her first WTA final and a career-high ranking at #53.

36- Andrea Petkovic (#55, GER)
The Bosnian-born German came back after an 8-months break in 2008 due to a knee injury. And not only she recovered her place in Top-100, but she also won her 1st WTA title and reached a career-high ranking at #52.

Best season so far for the German, who reached her career-high ranking at #76.

The cute Czech wasn't able to repeat her great 2008 season and dropped out of Top-100.

Horrible season for Vaidisova, who continues her free falling in the ranking since she started dating Radek Stepanek. Her last win in a WTA main draw was in April. New coach Eric Van Harpen will try to get her tennis back.
